Welfare Hub · First week

Singleton, Bay, and the first bus that makes sense.

A short guide for landing. ACS will walk with you. The University and the bus companies keep the official details.

Two campuses

Singleton Park and Bay are not a short walk apart. Lectures can be on either, so check the campus on your timetable before you leave the house.

The bus

First Bus runs the UniBus network between Singleton, the city centre and Bay. Night routes also run in term. Timetables change, so use the live pages rather than a screenshot from a group chat.

Ingredients

The city centre and the big supermarkets cover the basics. For the specific pepper, grain or flour that tastes like home, ask ACS before you cross town. Shop tips go stale, and a wrong address wastes a bus fare.

Hair

The committee keeps current recommendations rather than a printed list that expires. Message @swansea_acs and say what you need. Nobody has to explain their hair in a meeting.

Faith

ACS does not assume what you believe. Quiet rooms are on both campuses: The Lighthouse at Singleton and The Haven at Bay. The University multifaith team can point you further.

A person, not a map

Swansea BuddyUp is for the ordinary questions: which stop, which door, whether a social is actually welcoming. You can join it in the first week or in March.
