Food that tastes like someone cooked for you.

Cookouts, jollof and shared tables are for joy. If the cupboard is empty, that is a different door, and it stays quiet.

Jollof and waakye

The Sunday pot. Come hungry, leave with a container if there is extra.

Rice and peas, plantain, pepper soup

Caribbean and West African tables side by side, not in competition.

Injera, stews and tea

East African plates, and a chair for anyone who has never tried them.

Your recipe

If home tastes like something else, tell the events team. The table gets wider.

Joy and hardship are not the same queue

A cookout is public and cheerful. Needing food is not a spectacle. If you need staples, use the food and essentials drive or the support fund. You do not have to come to a social to eat.

Bring a dish or ask for a cookout

Name the food, whether you can cook or only eat, and any kitchen limits.
